Nature of work:

The Major Damage Specialist is ultimately responsible for all Manufacturer vehicles with body damages. The Major Damage Specialist role is to be focused on achieving the daily objectives and delivering the end results expected from Management.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Preferred Skills:

Typical Duties:

  • Company / ISO / Safety policies: Understand and have the ability to communicate Fenkell policy to the Analysts.
  • Email: Understand Fenkell’s email system by viewing new emails, sending new emails, attaching documents. Viewing the calendar and assigning events or setting up meetings.
  • Microsoft Office Programs: Understand Word, Excel, and Power Point. Have the capability to type a letter, create an Excel spreadsheet, pivot tables and charts and exporting to Power Point to create a slide show presentation. All programs are used consistently and needed when setting up monthly presentations for the Manufacturers or employees.
  • Job Summary: The Major Damage Specialist is responsible for handling all damage vehicles from the first point of notification to the completed repair and/or disposition of the vehicle.

Vehi-Trac System and Job Duties:

  • Daily emails
  • Daily entry of log sheets or emails
  • Daily review of dealer/body shop estimates
  • Daily dispatching/authorizing repairs
  • Daily categorizing vehicles
  • Daily call log for vehicles in repair/expediting repairs
  • Daily hiring of new dealers/body shops
  • Daily closing out work orders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Correspondence, addressing emails, etc.
  • Computer software such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Scanner, fax machine use
  • Typing speed 40 wpm or greater

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle multi-functions
  • Understanding of the Automotive Industry
  • Ability to communicate with Manufacturer and Management level personnel
  • Some knowledge of vehicle damages/ repairs
  • Ability to work proficiently and efficiently on a timely manner
